How much is the deposit?

We do not require a deposit to book a stay at the Hobby Hen House

When is check-in/check-out?

Flexible check in and check-out is 6pm

What if I need to cancel or change my reservation?

Reservations may be rescheduled at no charge. Please try to cancel within 30 days of your stay.

What if I can’t get there due to inclement weather?

If inclement weather makes it unsafe to travel the roads and you aren’t able to make your reservation, you may reschedule with no charge.

What forms of payment are accepted?

We accept personal checks, Venmo or cash. Checks made out to The Hobby Hen House.

What should I bring?

~Bring all cropping and craft supplies, don’t forget your photos!

Some tools are available for use. Cricut machine, paper cutters, cutting matts, punches, pens. Each person has a table supplied with pen cup, work light, and cup holder. Feel free to bring your own cricut machine and or any cartridges you wish to use.  We also have 2 cutting tables for shared use.

~If you need to use a computer, bring your own to do any digital journaling or ordering pictures. There is no computer or printer available.  Wi-Fi is available.

~Bring comfy lounge clothes and slippers so you can relax. Bring your own toiletries. Sheets, pillows/bedding, towels/washcloths are all provided for use. We also have hairdryers in each bathroom.

~Bring layers, (ie:sweatshirts, light sweaters). Everyone has a different preference of temperature. There is no AC for summer months, but fans and black out blinds. In winter, we offer lap blankets at your work table and the workroom has a cozy propane stove.

~Kitchen- Bring all your own food, snacks, beverages (ground coffee or K-cups). Kitchen is supplied with cooking equipment (appliances: crock pot, coffee maker- drip and Keurig, toaster oven, microwave, oven) All pots/pans and utensils are available for use. Outside we have a BBQ for summer months.

There is a full sized fridge with top freezer for your use during your stay.

~All paper products are provided. Paper towels, toilet paper, and napkins. Dish towels and soap are also provided.

What do we do about meals?

Our fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to make any quick easy meals.  We recommend pre-making most items ahead of time (ie: casseroles, crock pot) and bring them with you to make meal prep as easy and possible. Any pre-made meals also gives you more time for creating, crafting, laughing and relaxing!

If none of you are interested in much cooking there are many local restaurants/ take-out within 5 miles of the Hobby Hen House.

Are pets allowed? Do you have a smoking policy?

We are pet lovers, but kindly keep your furry friends at home. Exceptions may only be made with prior approval for guests needing a service animal. The groundskeeper on the property owns a dog named Buster and would prefer no other animals on the property. Sorry for the inconvenience.

No smoking or vaping is allowed at the Hobby Hen House or surrounding property.
