Three crafty friends who enjoy time together wanted a place to gather, connect, and create.  Tracie, Leanne, and Jo all talked about how awesome it would be to have a local place to gather to enjoy scrapbooking and other crafts and hobbies in a relaxing setting with their friends. It is not always easy to find the time or the space to get artsy and The Hobby Hen House is perfect for this desire!

Jo and Leanne met in 2006 when their kids were toddlers in MOMSClub of South Bellingham. We hosted scrapbooking and crafting events with other moms at local churches and community centers. Over the past 12 years, we have taken pictures of our kids growing up together through sports, school, and family fun. Our personal hobby is primarily scrapbooking, but we also enjoy card making and other crafts. Tracie has created beautiful needlepoint pieces, amazingly using her two front teeth, that we have proudly displayed on the walls of The Hobby Hen House. She learned to use her teeth after a tragic accident over 40 years ago that left her quadriplegic.

Creating scrapbooks of those family and childhood memories for our children to treasure makes it all worth the time and effort. Having a fun place to get away with friends to allow time for scrapbooking or whatever craft or hobby you enjoy makes it easier to accomplish the love of your craft. We have spacious tables for cutting and quilting, as well as a Cricut machine for unique designs. There is nothing better than creating with friends and sharing stories. We hope you enjoy our space as much as we have enjoyed the dream of putting it together.
